Front-End Web Developers at LabLife.org, a startup supported by Addgene

LabLife is seeking web developers to help lead the founding development team for a new web-based application targeting biologists. LabLife.org will be the first software platform for biologists to efficiently handle all their information technology tasks including analyzing data, sharing results, communicating with labmates and connecting with other researchers around the world.

LabLife is funded by Addgene, a leading provider of data and repository services for the academic research community.

Responsibilities

Design and develop front-end web applications and interfaces with a talented team of software engineers.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a vibrant, self-motivated, get-it-done attitude; the ability to think critically; good communication and collaborative development skills; a desire to learn in new areas; and the discipline to pay attention to details, quality, and deadlines.

Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, and interface design required. Experience/familiarity with C++, other web programming languages, MySQL and Unix a plus.

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Start Date: Immediate.

Job Location: Company is located at One Kendall Square in Cambridge, MA; Close to MIT & the Red Line.

Compensation: Based on experience, competitive with market.
